Aww yiss, got an early offer. BA Business and Commerce (Marketing) at Parramatta, come @ me. also yay for free iPads.
I have a level of acceptance about my marks now. I’m happy with them. They’re not my best, but you know what? It’s too late to change them. So there’s no point stressing about them. ATAR calculator gave me exactly what the cut-off for my course was last year, so if it’s around there, after my ten bonus points, I should be fine.
There’s no point stressing about them. I realise that now.
Except this one art teacher who did Extension Two English when she was in school. I told her my Advanced mark, and she was like “Oh you could’ve done better.” Then I told her my Ext 2 mark, yeah I beat her so that’s whats up~
so i just got my text. bit late BoS~
and we have results-induced vomit yay
and i never actually got my text message, lol whoops? did anyone else not get it, or did they just feel sorry for me~
this is so fucking bullshit
fuck
seriously fuck the hsc im so fucking upset right now
why the fuck did i have to screw around so much and put all my leadership before fucking schoolwork
i got one mark that i’m happy with
fuck this bullshit
Extension Two is a lot of work, I’m not going to lie. And depending on your medium (I did critical response), it can be a hell of a lot of research. You will, and should be sick of your piece. But that is good. It means you’ve worked damn hard on it.
Looking back now, Ext 2 was my favourite subject. Seeing my piece bound and ready to be mailed off was one of my proudest moments throughout the HSC, knowing that I had written 6000 words, and I was damn happy with them.
It can be stressful, but if you enjoy English, and you are happy to work hard, it is so, so worth it. If you’re good at/enjoy English, I would recommend it 100%. Only if you’re going to put in the work, though.
Just for the record, I did:
After getting through these ten units, gonna give a heads up to all you 2013 HSCers.
